The M-OPC is an outcome of Online Psychometrics: Data Science and Public Policy Project led by Dr. Vivek Belhekar (henceforth referred to as “lead researcher”), who is currently at University of Mumbai. This project is purely aimed at scientific research in the discipline of Psychology and related interdisciplinary social sciences.
At M-OPC, respondents (i.e “you”) can take psychometric tests and obtain feedback about your psychological profile. Terms of using this website have been described in the Terms of Use (hyperlink to Terms of Use)
M-OPC and its team understand that you provide us with a lot of personal information that you may not be comfortable in sharing with many people. Hence, we do our best that your data remain safe and confidential with us.
Before you start any test/ scale/ experiment, M-OPC takes an informed consent from all its respondents. A test/ scale/ experiment proceeds only if you agree to the informed consent. By agreeing to the informed consent, you also agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
This privacy policy applies when you use our website, take our surveys/ tests/ scales/ batteries, access your feedback report or create an account. This privacy policy describes:

Information you provide us directly
During registration
To create an account, you provide data including email address, name, mobile number and a password.
In your profile
You may provide us with sociodemographic information including but not limited to, personal information, education history, work history, medical and mental health history, relationship history and family history. Providing all of these details, except your sex, age and city/ village, are optional and can be skipped if you do not wish to fill these.
As part of psychometric tests/ scales/ batteries or other experiments
The psychometric assessment may ask you about various psychological attributes including but not limited to personal preferences, habits, attitudes, beliefs, emotions and overall lifestyle. The psychometric assessment may also include tests of intelligence, aptitude which require you to solve problems. There may also be scientific experiments which you may opt to be a part of. Over time we may add, delete or modify such studies, surveys, new/ revised tests, new/ revised scales as wished by the lead researcher.
When you are part of any the above procedures, you agree that we access any data that you fill in as part of it. If you feel uncomfortable at any point, you may always choose to opt out of the procedure. Any procedure that you leave incomplete, you will not be liable to obtain a report for it. However, M-OPC will still record and store those incomplete responses as well.
Information we acquire with your consent
All of the above information is either collected through the responses you give on our forms, tests, scale, surveys, experiments etc or it is collected automatically by the website.
2. How we use that information
All information/ data that M-OPC accumulates through this website is used purely for academic and scientific purposes only.
M-OPC reserves the rights to download, analyze, study, present, publish the data in a form where identities of respondents are kept absolutely confidential. M-OPC will, at no point, extract data of any specific individual. For all research purposes, only cumulative or group data will be used.
Any outcome from this data, including but not limited to research papers, books, manuals, protocols will be the intellectual property of lead researcher and his collaborator(s), if any.
The data may also be used for teaching and training purposes as far it maintains confidentiality and adheres to the clauses of this Privacy Policy.

3. How we store and protect the data
M-OPC tries its best to safely store all the data we get. The data is centrally stored in a password-protect hard-drive and online server. It can be accessed by only a limited number of academic researchers including lead researcher, project collaborators and technical staff.
The website also takes reasonable efforts to protect itself from any malware, spyware, adware or any other malicious activities that may take place on a website.
